Privacy Policy
Effective July 7, 2026
Park Spider (“Park Spider,” “we,” “us”) provides plate-based parking management tools, including a web dashboard and a mobile scanner app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. The email address you use to sign in, and the organizations and properties you belong to. If a property manager invites you as a resident, we also record which property and unit you are associated with, plus the display name and phone number you add in the resident portal. Your property’s managers can see those contact details.
- Parking data. The license plates you add to an allowed list, any vehicle details saved with them (such as make, model, and color), and scan records (plate text, timestamp, and whether the plate was registered, covered by a guest pass, or unregistered at scan time) produced when you use the scanner.
- Guest passes. When a resident issues a temporary guest pass, we store the guest vehicle’s license plate, any optional details the resident adds (such as a guest name or a vehicle make, model, and color), and the time window the pass is valid for. This lets the scanner recognize the guest vehicle until the pass expires.
- Camera input. The scanner app uses your device camera to read plates. Camera frames are processed on-device to detect and recognize plate text. We may also capture and store images of scanned vehicles and their license plates as part of a scan record, for example to verify a scan or maintain an audit trail.
- Billing information. If your organization subscribes to a paid plan, payments are handled by our payment processor Stripe. We store your subscription status and plan along with references to the Stripe customer and invoice records; your card number never reaches our servers.
- Technical data. Standard operational data such as log and diagnostic information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and provide the dashboard and scanner.
- To validate parking by matching scanned plates against your allowed list and to maintain scan history.
- To let residents issue and manage temporary guest passes, and to notify a resident when their guest pass is about to expire or has expired.
- To manage your organization’s subscription and billing, if it is on a paid plan.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the product, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Supabase: database and authentication.
- Cloudflare: application hosting and delivery.
- Resend: sending transactional email, such as invitations and guest-pass expiry notices.
- Stripe: subscription billing and payment processing.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
Data retention
We retain account, allowed-list, guest-pass, and scan data for as long as your account or organization is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual plates from within the app, and guest passes expire on their own. Scan records and guest-pass history are kept as an audit trail for as long as their property is active, and are permanently removed when that property or your organization is deleted. When you close an account, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our protections.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can manage much of your data directly in the app, or contact us to make a request.
Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your Park Spider account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
- In the app. Sign in to the dashboard and remove plates and properties, or leave or delete your organization. Deleting a property permanently removes its scan history.
- By email. Send a deletion request from your account email to privacy@parkspider.com. We will verify the request and delete your account.
When you request deletion we remove your account and the personal data tied to it within 30 days: your sign-in identity, organization memberships, allowed-list plates, resident accounts, saved guests, guest passes, vehicle-change requests, and scan records. We may retain a limited amount of information where required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements; such data is deleted or anonymized once it is no longer needed.
Children’s privacy
Park Spider is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
